Thank you for taking the time to visit me!
My ultimate joy is witnessing the experience of people who reach their “aha” moments that spark lifelong changes. This is very natural to me because I believe I was born with a coaching DNA. I just did not know how to properly operate it. I have been called “bossy” almost all my life even as a toddler. It was not about being on a power trip for me. I only wanted to see people being, doing, and having their best. As a child, I was a student by nature. As a teen, my friends wanted my advice. Once I got out on my own and really started living, something changed. We all know the story. LIFE HAPPENED!
My voice was temporarily silenced by unresolved traumatic experiences, poor self-esteem, and unwise choices, on top of misfortunes beyond my control. Within a 2-year period, I had a second unsuccessful marriage, lost my home, struggled financially, plus in other ways as a single parent. I was violently attacked, which forced me to get some help at that point. My counselor was so phenomenal that she rekindled the flame of my purpose to help others. Around 2007, I watched some life coaches in action on television. Their work intrigued me. In addition to becoming a counselor, I decided I was going to be a life coach! However, I had no clue how or when any of this was going to happen.
In October 2009, I received my wake-up call. I was hospitalized due to a mini-stroke from a stressful job and life. I got the revelation that life was too short to die trying to make a living. I resigned from the job 2 weeks later in preparation for my dream of becoming a counselor. In January 2010, I started my journey as a first-time college student towards a Social Work degree. My decision was based on what Social Work offered, which was the empowerment of people and the opportunity to be a therapist. I received my associate degree in May 2012, my bachelor's in December 2013, and my master's in December 2014, with an emphasis on mental health.
My dream of becoming a life coach never went away. Less than one year after graduation, I married my soulmate. He also wanted to become a life coach. The opportunity for life coaching training showed up. We knew it was a divine appointment. We obtained correct coaching skills and professional certifications. I received my credential as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I am fulfilling my life purpose and dream as a Success Coach!
My coaching style is wonderfully complex at best. I have been told that I am “so soft-spoken” and “calm, cool, and collected.” Do not let the meekness fool you! I am very intuitive. I reveal what I hear or see in a very gentle but direct way. I believe in getting to the root of challenges and obstacles for enlarging your capacity to grow. I love laughing and having fun in coaching. Do not be offended if I encourage you to lighten up.
I am also a published author of the book UNAPOLOGETICALLY Gray.
